چکیده
Abstract Introduction Crohn’s disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC) are chronic inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract. Studies have shown that polymorphisms vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene may help elucidate pathogenesis CD. Objectives To analyze role VDR (ApaI, BsmI, FokI, TaqI) in development Methods The present study is a systematic review with meta-analysis. total 50 articles English Portuguese published from 2000 to 2020 were selected 3 databases. relationship between CD was addressed 16 articles. Results TaqI polymorphism analyzed 3,689 patients 4,645 control subjects (odds ratio [OR] = 0.948; 95% confidence interval [95%CI] 0.851–1.056; p 0.3467). ApaI studied 3,406 4,415 (OR 1,033; 95%CI 0.854–1.250; 0.7356). For FokI polymorphism, there 2,998 4,146 0.965; 0.734–1.267; 0.7958). Lastly, BsmI 2,981 4,477 1,272; 0.748–2.161; 0.3743). Conclusion These four not associated Therefore, further studies larger samples required corroborate or rectify conclusions

متن کاملThe Polymorphisms in the Vitamin D Receptor Gene and Disease Severity in Sickle Cell Disease
Vitamin D is important in multiple aspects of health and its effects are mediated through the Vitamin D Receptor (VDR). We wanted to test the hypothesis that specific haplotypes of the VDR gene are associated with markers of disease severity, inflammation and bone health in Sickle Cell Disease (SCD). Genotyping was performed on DNA specimens from 1141 study participants in the NIH-funded Silent...
